The whole concept was to give a very 70’s look to the graphics with a vibrant retro feeling, like a movie poster in motion. We also recreated a flat design 3D map of Los Angeles for the bonus contents. with participation of Philippe Vallet (packaging), Vincent Follezou (3D animation), and Romain Deflache (rotoscoping). The film is an adaptation of Elmore Leonard's 1992 novel Rum Punch. It is the only feature-length film that Tarantino has adapted from a previous work. The film pays homage to 1970s blaxploitation films, particularly the films Coffy (1973) and Foxy Brown (1974), both of which also starred Grier in the title roles. It was Tarantino's third film following Reservoir Dogs (1992) and Pulp Fiction (1994). Casting : Pam Grier, Robert Forster, Samuel L. Jackson, Bridget Fonda, Michael Keaton, and Robert De Niro. Grier and Forster were both veteran actors but neither had performed a leading role in many years; this film revitalized their careers. The film garnered Forster a nomination for the Academy Award for Best Supporting Actor and Golden Globe Award nominations for Jackson and Grier. Source : Wikipedia
